Martek will be exhibiting and available for meetings throughout the week between March 28th – 30th 2017. The Martek booth can be found in our usual spot in the Forum Ballroom (419F) which as in previous years is close to the Coca-Cola stand and adjacent to Cretors.
He did it! Derek reached Everest Base Camp at 15:00 on Monday 24th October after 8 days of trekking. The team then had a further three days to trek back down. CinemaCon 2015 marked the 5th year of the show being held in Caesars Palace and what a spectacular year it was. Martek had a bustling schedule with meetings sandwiched between the trade show which ran for three days and various industry events in the evenings.

Martek were one of four speakers at the Croydon Export Seminar on Friday 8th November 2013. Organised by the South London Export Club, the event was held at Croydon Council’s new Bernard Weatherill House headquarters where around 40 businesses attended to gain advise on how to open up overseas.
Derek Galloway (Martek’s Managing Director) and Kirsty Carnell (Head of Marketing) have just returned from exhibiting at yet another fast paced and informative ShowEast in Miami.
The new civic centre next to Wembley Stadium in Brent opened its doors in June 2013. Martek manufactured the specialist bespoke joinery within the library and customer service centre. The centre achieved a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating, making it officially the greenest public office building in the country and the fourth greenest building worldwide.
The South London Business Awards have been developed by Prospects Services (SLB), the aim is to recognise and celebrate the many dynamic and innovative businesses in South London.
Derek Galloway, Managing Director of Martek Contracts Ltd, (Winners of Best Overall Business 2013) was the special Guest of Honour at the John Ruskin College Awards Evening held at the College on Wednesday 19th June. Links with local employers are an important part of the College developing relationships with the local community.

On the evening of the Croydon Business Awards 2013, Martek were Highly Commended for Best Medium Business and winners of Best Gren Business, but as the ceremony approached a close, it was then announced that Martek would be taking home the most prestigious award of the night, for Croydon’s best overall business.
With a population of 400,000 people, over 9,000 businesses including such household names as Nestle, Bank of America and The UK Border Agency, Croydon is the 9th largest local authority area in the UK.
Two years on since Carillon started building the new hospital at Bristol Southmeads and the external of the building is officially complete. Work on the interior of the building is well underway and most of the en-suite shower and toilet rooms are now installed in the single inpatient rooms.
The new site will be one of the most environmentally friendly hospitals of its size in the UK. 75% of the rooms will be single bed with en-suite toilet and shower rooms, 25% of beds will be in four-bed bays, 2,700 car parking spaces will be created in addition to improved transport links and more importantly all medical services and expertise will be under one roof.
The £430m PFI hospital will be open to patients in Spring 2014 and Martek have a completion date of May 2013.
