At 30 screens and 5,823 seats, the Warner Village Theatre at Star City is the largest and most prestigious multiplex in the UK.

The anchor of the Star City leisure complex in Birmingham, the theatre foyer is themed as a Hollywood movie lot and Martek's brief was to develop the retail areas within this environment without reducing the structural integrity of the stands or the way that they operate.



The areas built by Martek were:
- The 4 concession stands each themed to appear as film location trailers.
- The 2 box offices, each providing 4 cash positions and complemented by banks of ATM machines also manufactured by Martek and integrated with the WBITS ticketing system. All of the structural steel work was fabricated by Martek who also carried out the on-site installation.
- Coyotes Canyon - an area incorporating self-serve concession products, Pick n Mix candy and the ice cream bar.
- The Gold Class lounge is a sumptuous introduction to the truly VIP viewing experience provided by the 3 premium screens.
- The Prop Shop Café - a fun themed area for families to experience the Warner Bros. magic of Toons characters, and host of other movie memorabilia.


In addition to all of the retail areas, Martek provided the majority of the concession equipment, fitted out the cold rooms and back of house preparation areas, and manufactured all of the fixed furniture in the bar and Café areas.

Star City is one of 42 Warner Village Theatres in the UK. All have been fitted out by Martek, who provide the same service to Warner Bros. International theatres and their territory partners throughout Europe and the Far East.
